What to Expect With Chemical Peel Treatments
Our non-invasive chemical treatments take only about half an hour, and once completed, you can go on with your day with no downtime required. Before coming into Laser Skin Solutions for treatment, we ask that you avoid using any products containing retinoids for two weeks and try to stay out of harsh and direct sunlight. There can also be no open sores or lacerations in the treatment area. There will only be a slight sting or mild discomfort during the process, but we can alleviate this with a small, gentle fan.
Post-Treatment Care & Expected Results
Once the chemical peel is finished, you must avoid direct sunlight exposure for long periods for up to two weeks, depending on the level of chemical peel you receive. We’ll ask that you use sunscreen with SPF protection of 25 or higher. Your skin will turn slightly pink to red but can be covered with makeup. You also may notice further peeling happening, which is normal.

Chemical Peel FAQs
Below are some of the most frequently asked questions about our chemical peel services:
This depends on the type of chemical used and your skin type. Superficial peels have limited side effects, but they still may cause some redness and sensitivity.
With good sun protection, your results can last months, even years. This is dependent upon the depth of the peel for your treatment. Deeper peels generally provide a longer-lasting effect.
Superficial peels are quite safe, although minor irritation of the skin can occur. The risk of deep peels can include infection, scarring, redness, and discoloration.
You can use a mild cleanser and always include either a Hyaluronic Replenishing Serum or a Green Tea Anti-Oxidant Serum as often as needed. You may resume regular skincare three to five days after a peel or once redness or peeling is no longer apparent. As always, sun protection is a must for best results.
